Technical Project Lead (Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI). In the Interior, Instrumentation and Displays HMI Business Unit, coordinate with geographically distributed team of software engineers to develop applications for current and future products (Instrument Clusters and Head Up Displays). Guide software program schedule for project through all development phases. Coordinate technical meetings with customer on product requirement clarifications, track software feature maturity, and monitor progress towards project completion. Identify risks and issues associated with the project, lead root-cause analysis meetings, contribute to identifying solutions and provide periodic reports to management. Plan, coordinate and monitor the development, maintenance and validation of multicore software architecture / ECU designs. Negotiate and prioritize the schedule for implementation of customer and internal specifications. Monitor software modification requests database, lead change control board meetings, support customer design change requests, create software estimates and define release milestones. Follow processes and guidelines defined in Continental Software Method Kit and implement agile methods and tools to coordinate project activities.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related or equivalent. Requires five (5) years progressively responsible experience working with Automotive OEM Instrument Clusters/Head Up Displays in the area of embedded software project management to include five (5) years: managing large size, geographically distributed teams; and with Automotive OEM Subsystem Technical Software Specifications and OEM-specific processes; three (3) years using Agile tools and methodologies. Requires a Project Management Professional or Six Sigma Certification.
